CFIDale Crum is a native San Diegan. He received his Rotorcraft Commercial with Instrument Rating from the U.S. Army in 1981. He served with D Troop 2/9th Air Cavalry at Hunter Army Air Field in Savannah, GA. from 1981 to 1985. While he was there he held positions as Lift Platoon Pilot flying UH-1H Hueys, transitioning to the Aero Scout Platoon Dale flew OH-58C Kiowa’s, and held positions as Aero Scout, Air Battle Captain, Maintenance Officer and Maintenance Test Pilot. Dale flew for the Army Reserves until 1991. After a break from aviation, Dale resumed flying in 2004, with an initial fixed wing transition, after soloing Dale decided to return to helicopters where he engaged Civic for his Robinson transition, currency and CFI Training. He has over 1,500 flight hours. Dale is currently part owner and VP of Manufacturing for Indyme Solutions Inc., a small electronics manufacturer of communications equipment for the retail store environment. In addition part time flying for Civic, Dale is a volunteer with Classic Rotors Helicopter Museum located at Ramona Airport, CA.
